Custom built 18 foot Runabout/ Ski boat. 1975 Correct Craft “Southwind” hull and deck with 21 degree transom dead rise. Sitting on new (2008) Aluminum bunk trailer. Completely custom rebuilt in 2004/2005 by marine industry professional (no expense spared). Hundreds of hours in project. Entire interior of boat custom. Boat has NO CARPET. During reconstruction of boat all interior decking, foam, stringers, etc. were removed and replaced with new. All interior decking surfaces are fabricated from ½ inch Okume marine plywood laminated with 1708 stitch mat fiberglass using West System epoxies with peel ply to insure uniform surface minimal usage of fairing compounds. Remanufactured Ford 351 240 HP inboard engine (108 hours) with 1:1 gearbox. New exhaust risers, manifolds, Rebuilt Holly 4 barrel carb, electronic ignition, circ pump, raw water pump, aluminum main crank pulley, belts, chrome valve covers, etc, in 2008 (during engine out of boat overhaul). Complete awlgrip hull and deck paint work. Stars and Stripes blue hull with white boot. Off white deck with Cream nonskid cockpit floor. Light Grey epoxy bottom (6 coats Interlux 2000) Other specifics: Custom built configurable seating with drain dry foam/ textilene fabric cushions. Stainless steel frame seat back for front seat that pivots for rear facing- great for picnics and watching fireworks. Rear bench seating removable for fishing and water sports. Custom teak swim platform. Canvas Toneau cover and full winter cover. Poly planar waterproof AM/FM/CD sound system with 4 Poly Planar Platinum speakers, Raymarine A 65 Chartplotter/Fishfinder. 3 Rod holders. Completely new dual battery(batteries new in 2008) electrical system with selector switch. Rule 2000 GPH bilge pump with float switch. Custom dash panel with new Teleflex steering and Teleflex chrome backlit "fog free" instruments. 12 volt outlet. Engine room/ bilge blower. 30 gallon fuel tank with Racor fuel filter. PYI water cooled/ lubricated dripless seal on shaft. New shaft, new propellor, new rudder. pop up fender cleats. etc... The Boat handles Chesapeake Bay chop very nicely for an 18 foot boat thanks to the vessels solid construction and deep vee bottom. Great boat for cruising the creeks, watching races, picnic lunches/ dinners, and cocktail cruises. Take out the removable aft bench seating, load up the rods and tackle boxes and you have a very capable light tackle fishing boat. Plenty of room for a large cooler and 3 or 4 people to go fishing.
