June 22, 2010 — It's only Tuesday, and already Brian Gagnon is having  one great week.

 

On Sunday, Brian won the "Best Utility" award at our chapter's 23rd Annual Antique & Classic Boat Festival in St. Michael's for his 1946 Ventnor Deluxe Utility, Tiger II.

 

And this morning as the Philadelphia Chapter's president, he learned that they've been selected to receive the first Chapter of the Year designation, a new award level recently launched by ACBS International.

 

Many CBC members hold a secondary membership in the Philadelphia Chapter. We enjoy attending and supporting their events—like their fall show at Long Level Lake—just as they consistently support ours. On behalf of all of the Chesapeake Bay Chapter members, we extend our congratulations to Brian and his colleagues for this well-deserved recognition. The award will be presented during this year's ACBS International Annual Meeting, hosted by the Water Wonderland chapter Sept. 15-18 in Petoskey, Michigan.

 

In the meantime we'll all be eager to hear how the rest of this week unfolds for Brian...
