Check out the Pics: Having Our Oktoberfest in September was a Great Move |
|
Over 50 of our members can't be wrong. Enjoying Oktoberfest in September was a fine idea...
And a dozen of our new members joined in on the fun as well. The weather was truly splendid, and once appetites were satiated, a good deal of boating was enjoyed on a perfect afternoon along the South River. Our thanks again to Tom & Marcia Auth who host this annual event, and to President Maryann Fiaschetti who's a pro at organizing a great time for all.

Our Oktoberfest becomes SeptemberFest This Year |
|
It's tough trying to have an enjoyable river cruise in a downpour. And unfortunately our chapter's Okoberfest the last several years has fallen on some pretty inclement days.
So we're morphing Oktoberfest into "SeptemberFest" this year, in search of better boating weather. The date for our 2010 fall party will be Saturday, Sept. 18.
Otherwise if you've attended before, you know the drill.
And if you haven't joined us before, you'll want to put it on your "Don't Miss This" list.
Either way, here are the basics:

Note the Location change...
This cruise is a test run--we're planning to organize a similar excursion
after our 2011 St. Michaels Festival next summer.
Join us on Saturday, August 28 when we'll depart at 10 am from the launch ramp
at the Choptank Marina on the Eastern Shore. Lunch will be at a local restaurant.
Everyone and ALL boats welcome!!!
If you're interested, let us know as soon as possible.

Dear Members and Friends:
As many of you already know, our Annual Boat Festival was a tremendous success. We would like to thank all who participated.
We were privileged this year to have professional photographer Charles Milsap document our show.
We would like to thank Charles and his staff for "capturing" a truly quality show. He has offered to allow us access to download some of his work for future Chapter publicity projects.
I encourage everyone to visit his website: www.chessiephoto.com. There may be a great shot of your boat there! Please join us in supporting his efforts. I'm certain that Charles would appreciate your business.
Warmest regards,
Maryann Fiaschetti
