Live Coverage of CBC's Antique Boats at the 2010 Baltimore Boat ShowThe Washington, DC affiliate of Fox News (WTTG) did a live broadcast with CBC's Promotions Chair, Chris Brown, during its Friday morning news segment. In case you missed it, here's Matt Ackland of Fox News interviewing Chris.
The display of our Antique Boats and Motors as you enter the Charles Street lobby of the Baltimore Convention Center has proven to be a major attraction, in addition to being a new feature at this boat show. So it's no surprise that members of the Chesapeake Bay Chapter of ACBS have been busy recently doing interviews with several Baltimore TV-news stations. Past-presidents Dominic Fiaschetti and Rick Sharpe were the first to be interviewed by WMAR, the local ABC affiliate. Then WMAR taped another segment with George Hazzard, fellow CBC member and award-winning restorer about his restoration work. These three interviews were integrated into a 30-minute feature on the Baltimore Boat Show that WMAR aired on the Boat Show's opening night at 7 pm.
Then the DC affiliate of Fox News (WTTG) did a live broadcast with CBC's Promotions Chair, Chris Brown, during its Friday morning news segment.
Visitors attending the Baltimore Boat Show pass right by our display, whether they enter from the Pratt St. or the Charles St entrance. Everyone who visits our booth has a smile or a memory about a "boat just like that" from their childhood to share. then are those who remember that they have old outboards in their garage or basement. Others discover that CBC can put them back in touch with old friends who have similar boating interests. So it's turned out to be an enjoyable opportunity for those of us staffing this show.
For more information about show times and directions, check our calendar listings. You can also find additional video coverage of the Baltimore Boat Show on the WTTG Fox News website.
